One thing this and many other studies showed is, consistency and following in all categories (called multi-modal every day is better than once in a while and following only a few categories. So the change has to be broad. The side benefit is that heart attacks have similar improvements as they share similar pathologies. The above particular research goes on to say “the onset of dementia in Alzheimer’s patients is slowed, stopped, and further reversed in a 20-week study”. That’s remarkable!

Research below just came out! Alzheimer’s progression slowed down due to lifestyle changes! Out of 26 patients, 10 – 24 improved in various degrees.
I will be explaining the significance of this research in a few posts, taking a deep scientific dive to understand the basis and reasoning so we can better understand the lifestyle we should live. Deep science helps us create our own programs that fit our lifestyle rather than trying to fit the lifestyle of others. Also, knowing the science behind makes you a stronger believer and helps you adhere better to your goals. A stronger conviction is necessary in the end; all of the advice will be nothing new that your mother hasn’t already told you. But following it is hard, and the focus is to make it easier to follow.
The four major areas they identified as beneficial are diet, physical activity, emotional stress management, and social connection. This covers almost everything! But I’ll make sense of it by discussing the molecular mechanisms involved and exploring how we can influence them socially. This way, you can decide how to build a healthy lifestyle without relying on doctors or drugs.
